Take a tour Take a tour of Baptist East's Labor & Delivery department, the Mother/Baby Unit and the newborn nursery. The tour offers general information about having your baby at Baptist Hospital East, including registrations, where to park, what to bring and visitation policies. It is free, but space is limited. Please attend only on the date for which you register. For your convenience, take this tour in conjunction with another maternity class. If you are undecided about breastfeeding, be sure to take this class before your fifth month of pregnancy. If you've decided to breastfeed, take this class in your seventh or eighth month. During three one-hour sessions, parents get hands-on instruction on how to use infant massage to help their baby sleep and rest better, ease the pain of colic or gas and further stimulate growth and development. Parents bring their babies to class. Babies must be at least six weeks old and not yet crawling. Instructors are certified in infant massage. Tuition is $65 per baby. If you liked the convenience of registering for classes online, remember that you can complete your patient registration online, too. Baptist East recommends pre-registering at the beginning of your eighth month of pregnancy. You will still have to check in on the Labor and Delivery unit on the second floor of the Baptist East Medical Pavilion, 3900 Kresge Way, although your admission will be easier and take less time. |  |
