The Chemical Dependency Recovery Program at Baptist Hospital East offers confidential assessments by professional staff members to determine a preliminary treatment plan. During an assessment, many factors are considered, including:

• The presence of medical or psychiatric conditions which may affect treatment
• Previous treatment experience
• Support of family, friends and employers in the recovery process

There is a fee for the confidential assessment, which normally takes about an hour. This fee is usually covered by insurance.
