Employee Assistance Program

To help employees keep their lives in balance, Baptist Hospital East offers an Employee Assistance Program.

The Employee Assistance Program is provided by the Center for Behavioral Health at Baptist East. This service includes confidential counseling, crisis support access and employee education.

For example, as an employee you may seek information and suggested options for dealing with the following:

  • Work-related stress
  • Communication issues
  • Marital/family conflicts
  • Depression and anxiety
  • Substance abuse
  • Parenting
  • Legal/financial difficulties
  • Grief and loss
  • Gambling
  • Time management

Four free EAP sessions a year are available for employees and members of their immediate family.

Sessions may be scheduled at Baptist East – where the offices are located in an adjacent office building (not in the hospital) – or at Baptist Hospital Northeast in La Grange.

Confidentiality is a requirement and a guarantee made to all employees. Without it, the EAP wouldn’t work. Every counselor knows this rule. No information goes anywhere without the employee’s request and written permission.

Counselors are specially trained in EAP work. They handle delicate issues, and they have the knowledge and skills to assist in solving problems. Call (502) 896-7105 at any time of day, any day of the year for an appointment or further information.
